FELINE VACCINE RECOMMENDATIONS Vetsuite Veterinarians General Practice Preventative Medicine GUIDELINES Vaccinations have saved the lives of millions of cats. Before the days of effective vaccines, cats routinely died from panleukopenia ("feline distemper") and complications of upper respiratory (herpesvirus, calicivirus) infections. News and Announcements

In September we took on two four week old kittens, one male and one female, to raise and find homes for. They were so tiny that they could fit their heads through the bars of the cage, only weighing in at barely a pound. Oh, and they sure were messy when they ate their food; we were constantly giving them baths.

They grew on us and we ended up giving them names, we named the girl Sushi and the boy BB (aka Big Butt). He did finally grow into it and his eyes as well. What a great job to have to raise such wonderful creatures. As I always say, “a kitten a day takes the worries away.” Over time they started to grow and follow us around. They finally got to the point where the clinic was theirs and they showed it.

Time came and went and for two months we got to enjoy their lovable features. On the weekends I would take them home and play with them there. They got plenty of hands on experience and turned out to be a very handleable pair.

We found a wonderful home for them and they now are the proud owners of Brad and Laura Wagner. From what I hear they get along great with the other pets at home. They were renamed Bonnie and Clyde, perfect. Clyde stalks the halls like a mountain lion and Bonnie loves to get her paws wet. A cat who likes water?

It was hard letting them go and saying goodbye but we knew they were going to a great home with great people to love and pamper them. We will continue to get to see them grow every year. In a way we are all each others extended family.

Brad and Laura send us pictures and you can see these two kids in our Pet Gallery. They sure are growing up beautifully.
